| Operability Determination Exercises General Course Description: The course is provides the student with additional practical experience in the performance of Operability Determinations. It uses the models and flowcharts developed in "Response to Conditions Adverse to Quality. Site-specific examples are used to refine the skills provided in "Response to Conditions Adverse to Quality" through reinforcement and repetition. Additionally, commonly-used approaches to Operability Determinations will be illustrated. Recommended Student Population: This is appropriate for graduates of "Response to Conditions Adverse to Quality." In addition, the student's roles/jobs should benefit from achieving a higher level of expertise in the performance of Operability Determinations Course Length: The course is one day in length. Method of Instruction: The class briefly reviews the flowcharts, models, and major learning objectives from "Response to Conditions Adverse to Quality." The technical arguments typically used to develop Operability Determinations are described and divided into logical categories. The site-specific examples are reviewed and compared to the conclusions from "Response to Conditions Adverse to Quality." The technical details of each are compared to the pre-defined technical argument categories described above. Recent site-specific problems or industry violations will also be reviewed and compared to the flowcharts, models, and categories described above. Degree of Site-Specific Customization, if developed for a single site: The class is intended to be customized for a specific site. That is, the students are expected to apply their knowledge and skills to actual events and examples from their site.
