General Course Description:
This course/module is integrated with one of the other courses offered in support of 10 CFR 50.59 qualification. 10 CFR 72.28 and 50.59 are very similar regulations. The implementing guidance, Appendix B to NEI 96-07, is likewise similar to NEI 96-07.
As result, students interested in Spent Fuel Storage Cask Change Control will attend one of the 10 CFR 50.59 courses. A separate module covering the unique aspects of 10 CFR 72.48 would be provided during the conduct of that course.
This module discusses the various classes of licenses available to prospective cask users. Included in this module are the differences between UFSAR maintenance for Part 50/Reactor licensees and Part 72/Cask /license and certificate holders. The distinction between UFSAR updating as described in 10 CFR 72.248 and the site-specific SAR review described in 10 CFR 72.212 is also addressed.

This class/module is appropriate for any individual pursuing qualification as a 10 CFR 72.48 Screener or Evaluator.
Course Length:
The module course is approximately two hours in length. As described above, the module must be taken in conjunction with one of the other 10 CFR 50.59 courses.
